MISTI to Hold 2023 Annual Congress and 2024 Planning

The Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) is gearing up to host its 2023 Annual Congress and 2024 Planning on February 20 and 21, 2024 at the ministry headquarters in Phnom Penh.

The Annual Congress is set to spotlight four key areas crucial to Cambodia’s development: national quality infrastructure, access to clean water, public service reform, and the promotion of science, technology, and innovation in the 7th mandate of the Royal Government. These areas of priorities underscore MISTI's commitment to fostering growth, enhancing public services, and driving innovation across all relevant sectors.

The event will commence with an opening ceremony on February 20 presided over by H.E. HEM Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation. Moreover, the closing ceremony on February 21 will be graced under the esteemed presence of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN MANET, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Distinguished members of the Senate, the National Assembly, and the Royal Government as well as representatives of Development Partners and key figures from the private sector are expected to attend the Annual Congress.

By convening stakeholders from various sectors, the Ministry aims to facilitate dialogue, exchange insights, and forge collaborative partnerships that will propel Cambodia towards greater socio-economic development.

The Annual Congress serves not only as a platform for MISTI to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year but also as an opportunity to chart a course for the future. The deliberations and strategic discussions during the event will set the tone for the ministry's initiatives and endeavors in 2024 and beyond.
